It's been a while since I've posted. I've been very busy with work and everything. VERY busy. And honestly, I just haven't had the brain power to post. Things are going well and the job is everything I thought it would be. It will be an excellent "training ground" for me! I do like this area...not convinced I would live here forever or even more than a couple years, but I am pretty much convinced that this is the right place for me right now. We'll see what the near future brings. Go with the flow is the name of the game right now.
I guess there's nothing else very exciting...just same old same old. I need to get my study revisions finished and that submitted. It's kind of gnawing at my subconscious. Getting louder too. I'm pretty good at ignoring things though. :-)
I brought lots of work home with me this weekend and I've gotten a good chunk of it finished, but lots more to do. I went to my brother's house this afternoon for a visit and it was nice to visit with my sister in law Amy and their kids Skyler (who's about 8-9...right now I can't remember!!!) and Drake (who's about 6 I think). They are neat kids and so excited to share their life! :-) Skyler gave me a rubber ball (like a big 2inch one), a small rubber turtle in a hard shell, a plastic butterfly, and a ring pop (sucker) as I walked in the door. Drake came up later and brought out some more turtles and we played a while and then he got out a magnadoodle and he wrote tons of stuff on it for me and asked me how to spell a few more. Then he had to show me his room and his toys and then he had to show me Skyler's. It was a good visit. It's fun to get a little kid's perspective every once in a while -we get caught up in our stoic and serious adult world, we forget that there are some things that just don't matter -we have to make time for the little fun things. And making a kid smile has got to be the best thing in the world! :-)
